Crushed Velvet Materials

Hi everybody. Today I'm going to show you a couple of crushed velvet materials. The first is my favourite one:  The fabric material has not any mysterious. It is a simple Velvet Shader . The displacement or bumping  is trickier. The base is a Noise Texture node, but I use a Wave Texture node to modify randomly its distortion. It is the same pattern that I used in my silk material . The second material is a more rough but I think it is interesting as well: Its node setup is similar to the material before. Apart from the bumping pattern I have included a Gamma node. Basically it produces a darker pattern, wich means that the bumping will be more flat. Remember that in displacement black color or cero value means the point is on the surface, and white color or one value means the point is above the surface. Now the displacement or bumping  is easier. It uses a distorted Wave Texture node. I hope you like them. Bye

Felt Material

Hi everybody. Today I'm going to show you a felt material: There is an interesting thread in blenderartist that you can check to see other realistic materials of this kind of fabric, and more accurate for close-up renders. This is my node setup: As you can see I have multiplied the pattern with a layer weight >> facing node to get the pattern appears in facing angles. The fabric is similar to others of this type, and I have reducing the bumping multiplying by 0.6. If you prefer you can increase this value. Bye

Fabric Material for Upholstery II

Hi everybody. Today I'm going to show you another fabric material for upholstery, similar to one explained here . It looks so: The structure is the same than the first version. The only changes are the cloth pattern and the colors of the material. The fabric material ( SynthFabric node ) is explained in my previous post . This time the cloth pattern uses a RGB Curves node to get the cloth texture. In my first material I used a power and a color ramp node instead to create the texture. This is the render with the same color than my first version. I hope you like it. Bye

Silk Material

Hi everybody. Today I'm going to show you a silk material: Hola a todos. Hoy voy a mostraros un material de tipo seda: The node setup cosists of two blocks: - The silk material, made with a glossy and a velvet node. - The cloth pattern, used for texturing and slightly bumping. La configuración de nodos se compone de dos bloques: - El material seda, hecho con un nodo de brillo y uno de terciopelo. - El patrón de la tela, usado para la textura y un ligero relieve. Semitransparent Fabric Material

Hi all. Today I'm going to show you a semitransparent fabric material: The node setup is similar to the material explained in this previous article .  I have added a transparent node mixed to the fabric material. The greater than node controls the level of transparence of the fabric. The SynthFabric Node is the same that the one which appears in the article mentioned above . The fabric pattern is simple, It just is a subtraction of two wave textures with different scales and distortions ( band s option): Bye

Fabric Material for Upholstery

Hi. Today I'm going to show you a fabric for upholstery material: This is the main node setup. It is divided into two blocks: bumping and fabric material. The fabric bumping consists of a subtraction of two colors from wave texture nodes ( bands option). I have added a power node and a color ramp node to make the color transition of the pattern sharper. The synthetic fabric consists of a material with fresnel and facing reflections. The diffuse node uses Oren-Nayard algotithm (its roughness is higher than 0.0), and the glossy nodes also have a high roughness.  The setup is as follows: Here theres is a simple test. Tablecloth Fabric Material

Hi. Today I'm going to show you a tablecloth fabric material: I have divided this material into three parts: 1) Color pattern 2) Bump pattern, for fabric 3) Fabric or cloth material First of all, I have done the color pattern using two wave textures, with "bands" option enabled. You get the tablecloth color with the color mix node (mix option) . I have also used a "MapRange" node, which I saw in some thread in BlenderArtist, to get sharp borders in this pattern.    Secondly, I have done a fabric bump pattern, again using two wave textures. This time I have mixed them with a subtract color node . See right side for an example image. I have flattened this bump pattern with a gamma node (value 3.0), which makes the color of the pattern darker and therefore more flat. Besides I have reduce the strength of the bump node to 0.5. Finally, I have used both pattern in a cloth material, similar to the one shown in Camouflage Material . I have use...

Satin Fabric Material II

Hi everybody. Today I'm going to show to you a new version of satin fabric material, explained on this post . I have used the double glossy mix, as previous version. I have used the same color ramp for each glossy node, and different fresnel factors to mix these colors. The colors of the color ramp node are: #2F2DD2, #1E8BDB, #E7ADD3 and #E5E374. As the result, you can see a pinkish forecolor, and a bluish backcolor.    Bye

Satin Fabric Material

Hi all. Today I'm going to make a basic satin fabric material. Hola a todos. Hoy voy a hacer un tejido satinado básico. As you can see, I have changed my usual test scene. I'm using one blender test scene, made by @Tuqueque . This file contains three scenes. You must select the one for clothes that you can see in my image. Como puedes ver, he cambiado my escena de prueba habitual. Estoy usando una de las escenas de pruebas de blender, hecha por @Tuqueque . The test scene is very important and must be suitable for the material you are looking for. See how this material does not stand up in my usual scene: La escena de prueba es muy importante y debe ser adecuada para el material que estás buscando.
